Various Skateboard Stuff

2009-09-04

During this month I'll dedicate some attention to this theme: Skateboarding. Ready for some kickflips? If you ever have the chance of conceiving/designing a skatepark or a sports/skate shop or even a skateboard deck/technical component, you'll find through the following articles some useful tips and links to worthy 3D models. SketchUp will certainly help you a lot on the task and Google 3D Warehouse already has a good pack of skateboard models and collections. I've made a selection called "The 5 Star Skateboard Stuff" that compiles my favorite models in there, up to this date.

3D Artists: James Cannam, Skate&Create, arthur-----a,s, sandman, rocket909, j-m@n, JB and ..

DIYskate.com is a website where Jason (...) attempts to help as many that will take the time to read a page or two figure out how to build a skateboard ramp or the board itself (...) He's been using SketchUp for a couple of years in order to quickly express and share his ideas...and he does it extremely well, in my modest opinion.
Several ramps, rails, ledges and even skateboard deck molds are accurately modeled and nicely illustrated so you may have the chance to "Do It Yourself"...take a look!
